Lauren’s approach to therapy
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Lauren feels genuinely honored to do the work she does. Counseling is more than a profession for her—it’s a calling. Lauren believes people are capable of meaningful change, and she is passionate about helping clients move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Lauren’s approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rogerian (person-centered) counseling, and a systemic perspective to understand not only the individual but also the relationships and environments that shape their experiences. Lauren works with adolescents and couples, helping them navigate challenges such as emotional regulation, communication difficulties, relationship stress, identity development, and life transitions.
In your work together, you can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your experiences are respected and your voice matters. Lauren believes that strong therapeutic relationships are the foundation of meaningful progress. While therapy can lead to powerful breakthroughs, Lauren also believes that lasting change takes time, patience, and consistent effort. Her goal is to walk alongside you in that process—supporting growth, resilience, and deeper self-understanding.
Outside the office, Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors. Gardening, surfing, and working out help her stay grounded, energized, and connected to the balance she encourages her clients to cultivate in their own lives.
Seeking counseling is a courageous step, and Lauren looks forward to supporting you on your journey toward growth and well-being!
